Pet Therapy volunteers are teams (volunteer and dog/horse) registered through Paws Across Texas or Pet Partners. Pet Therapy volunteers visit patients in patient rooms as well as in common areas of the hospital to deliver comfort or home and the benefits of Pet Therapy throughout hospital stays.

Community group volunteers are already members of a community group that has a relationship with Children's Health and will be serving within the bounds of their group within the hospital. Groups include Women's Auxiliary, Kidlinks, Assistance League of Dallas, Junior League, Dec My Room, or Musicians on Call.
